REMOTOX® removes chromates and dichromates without preliminary reduction of the chromium to its trivalent state. Electrolyse nickel and other metals in process wastewater are effectively treated. In the soil remediation industry, Calcium Polysulfide has been considered an ideal reducing agent due to its effective ability to stabilize heavy metals and other pollutants. It precipitates highly soluble metals as less soluble, less toxic metal sulfides. Hexavalent chromium, Cr(VI), is reduced to trivalent levels, Cr(III), which then precipitates as a hydroxide. Numerous applications have been conducted successfully at various clean-up sites. 

REMOTOX® has proven to capture high levels of mercury in flue gas and scrubber solutions preventing re-emissions.
