Remotox® is an aqueous calcium polysulfide solution formed by the reaction of calcium hydroxide and sulfur. The solution consists of multiple (poly) sulfur compounds, designed for the effective removal of heavy metals in soil, groundwater and wastewater.

Remotox® is available in 5-gal pails, 55-gal drums, 265-gal totes and in bulk tank trucks. When stored properly, product has been tested to maintain its effectiveness for a minimum of one (1) year. Remotox is not regulated by the US Department of Transportation as hazardous material or dangerous goods for transportation. Graus Chemicals is working with carriers, who are dedicated to providing safe and timely deliveries. However, customers may also arrange their own transportation, whereby they assume full responsibility and liability of the shipment.


Remotox® is corrosive due to its caustic nature. Workers are advised to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to avoid exposure to the skin and eyes. Use Remotox in well ventilated areas and wash thoroughly after handling. Do not mix with acids to prevent the formation of hydrogen sulfide vapors. See Safety Data Sheet for further details regarding the safe use and handling of the product.

Materials of construction suitable for storing Remotox® include stainless steel, fiberglass, polyethylene and polypropylene. Suitable elastomers and linings for Remotox service include EPDM, Teflon, Viton, and silicon rubbers.
